Drone Shoot Permissions in Gurgaon & Delhi NCR — Green, Yellow & Red Zones Explained — featured image

Aerial footage is stunning — but only if it's shot legally. Here's a plain-English guide to drone zones across Delhi NCR and how permissions work for commercial shoots.

Green, Yellow & Red Zones

India uses a zone-based airspace map. Green zones are largely operable. Yellow zones need permission from air traffic authorities. Red zones are no-fly without special clearance — typically near airports and sensitive sites.

Gurgaon

Much of Gurgaon is operable, which is why it's ideal for factory, real estate and event aerials — always subject to the specific site.

Delhi

Central Delhi is heavily restricted, especially near the airport and VIP/government zones. Many areas require permissions or are no-fly.

Noida

Mixed — some areas are open while others sit near sensitive zones, so each site needs checking.
